Description:

Microsoft is hiring a Software Development Engineer II for its Teams Admin Center (TAC) team in Bangalore. TAC is the central command center for IT administrators managing Microsoft Teams across enterprises.

As part of this team, you’ll work on building next-generation UI platforms, policy management tools, and AI-powered copilots that help IT admins configure, manage, and monitor Teams at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build scalable, reusable frontend components using React, TypeScript, and Fluent UI.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and partner engineering teams to deliver intuitive and performant admin experiences.
  • Enhance developer productivity through shared UI libraries, component documentation, and improved build/deploy pipelines.
  • Ensure accessibility, compliance, and security are integrated into your work.
  • Write robust unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality.
  • Mentor junior engineers and actively participate in design/code reviews.

Key Technical Skills:

JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Fluent UI, Redux/Recoil, Jest, Playwright, Cypress, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, ADO, Telemetry tools (ARIA/Geneva), Web performance optimization, Accessibility standards.

Requirements:

  • 3–6 years of experience building scalable frontend applications.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.js.
  • Good problem-solving, debugging, and system design skills.
  • Experience in testing frameworks like Jest, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Understanding of performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Bonus if you have experience with enterprise/admin platforms, CI/CD pipelines, Microsoft Fluent UI, or working in geo-distributed teams.
